Clayton Savage JayQuan

Don't try to categorize the music and sound of CSJQ (Clayton Savage JayQuan). Hailing from VA (Virginia) these two young men have been making noise within the music world for quite some time.

Clayton Savage - who produces ,engineers, sings , plays guitar , keyboards & drums made his
national debut as one of the members of Grand Master Melle Mels new Furious 5. His Highlights
with that outfit include drum programming on "The New Adventures Of The Grandmaster" , singing
the hook and drum programming on "Step Off" , vocals on World War III and writing , singing, producing and playing all instruments on "We Dont Work For Free". As a house musician for Sugarhill Records Clayton has produced Sequence , The West Street Mob , Kool Moe Dee , Bunny Sigler , Lisa Danielle and Shonte'.

After his stint with Sugarhill, Clayton secured a deal with EMI / Manhattan and released his self
titled lp which included the hits Virgin Lover , Palm Of Her Hand and Satisfaction Guaranteed.
Virgin Lover gave Clayton the distinction of being one of the first artists to earn an explicit warning sticker on thier lp. Palm Of Her Hand is the original theme music for Black Entertainment Television's (BET) highly celebrated Video Soul show.

JayQuan who raps, writes, arranges and mans the turntables has recorded with Grandmaster Melle Mel of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5 and Grandmaster Caz of the Cold Crush Brothers.
JayQuan is responsible for many regional and nationwide rap singles throughout the 1980s as front man of the Too Def Crew and the First Sons. Additionally JayQuan is the creator and webmaster of
The Foundation (http://thafoundation.com) which Rodney C of the Funky 4 calls the Bible regarding information on early Hip Hop culture.

In 2011 CSJQ fuses Hip Hop , R&B and Rock that is unlike anything currently on the radar. CSJQ are able to comfortably create music that contains elements of several genres of music - without sounding forced or contrieved.
